Hot Buttered Rum serves 6 - 8
- 30g / 1oz of unsalted butter
- 4-6 tbsp light brown sugar
- 300ml / 1/2 pint dark rum
- 300ml/1/2 pint orange juice ( smooth)
- 300ml / 1/2 pint water
- 1/2 tsp grated nutmeg
- 1/2 cinnamon stick
- 4 cloves

Method.

Gently heat all the ingredients in a pan until the butter and sugar has melted.

Strain through a sieve and pour into small cups or shot glasses

Sprinkle with extra nutmeg before serving.
